I spent the summer of ‘19 in NYC, and I wanted to capture the two New Yorks I was seeing – the exciting, glamorous, “city that never sleeps” New York, and the monotonous, commuter-centered, working-class New York. I noticed that there was a particular privilege associated with altitude, hence the title. (I also love trains if you couldn’t tell by this film.)
